Chap07 Our Little House out in the country, Pulaski County, Kentucky circa 1920 5/14/1920
Harper home out in the country about half way "as the crow flies" between London and Somerset Kentucky, near a little settlement known as "Conrard." The location, which was strip mined a few years ago, would have been north of present day Kentucky State Highway 80. There were NO roads to speak of out in the country back then.

Helen Harper before she was Helen Needham. Helen would eventually marry Julius Needham and both were well-known residents of Monticello, Kentucky for many years. At this writing her step-daughter and Julius daughter, Marjorie Bow, still lives in Monticello with her husband Clifford. Actual date of photo is only a guess.
